We regard hypnosis as an under-utilized tool in the standard treatment of patients by professionals in a variety of disciplines. As a result, our institute has developed a number of workshops for health care professionals.

The Erickson Institute of Hypnosis was established to train health professionals who wished to broaden their range of treatment modalities to include hypnosis. Then, as now, many health care providers have had very limited exposure to, and experience with, hypnosis as a valid component used in addressing a number of issues.

The institute also serves as a clearinghouse for the field. We provide information on clinical hypnosis to the public, referral services and a speakers’ bureau for professional and lay organizations. The field of hypnotherapy is constantly changing. New practices, methods and studies are adding to the understanding and application of this practice. The institute is dedicated to keeping professionals and the public informed and up-to-date.

Supervision is offered in both small group and individual formats.
Participants are invited to present their own clinical cases.
